This hits hard!!! Interestingly enough, I’ve been researching my lineage the last 5 years or so and I couldn’t be more proud of some of the things I’ve found out about my distant relatives. There’s no buildings or streets or famous companies named after any of them, but a lot had some pretty crazy impacts on our lives today!

So fun fact, I grew up in a military town and had friends whose parents were in DC and at the WH and Pentagon and other various military locations at the time.

We had heard rumors all day but because of our close ties to the military they kept everything off and I didn’t see anything until after school (3-4ish). Looking back, I can’t believe they were able to keep that from us all day and then after nobody really talked about it because it was all to real for us. Many of our families were affected years later by soldiers being deployed and then having ours friends deployed too and some never coming back.

God what crazy times we were living in then and what crazy times we live in now!

That darned magic internet money!

I literally kept calling it that the other night when telling people at the fundraiser that we’ve raise X amount of “magic internet money” for them. Haha the look on their faces was priceless!

I’m gonna try to catch as much as I can. My company is having our global kickoff, so I’m gonna be dual screening it with one on mute. 😆

Aren’t those the best?! Like 2000 Sats isn’t much in the grand scheme, but just knowing that zaps are meant to be even smaller than $0.50 and being able to send out hundreds of zaps with that is awesome.

That’s awesome! Man I wish I could be there. I’m not a dev or anything but have loved watching this thing explode in the last 12 weeks and just helping build this community into one we all want to be a part of and interact with.

Next year, I’m gonna have to be there! Gonna start stacking Sats for it now!

My favorite is the “no taxpayer dollars” part…um did the govt forget how they are funded? I know this is coming from the banks “insurance” pool but those same banks got freaking bailouts from the taxpayer and probably used that to fund it and it will get thrown on us by higher prices when the Fed starts inflating assets again to pay for bridge loans for treasuries.

He really is, dude is on fire! These are some insane stats, but good for him. Seems like a great guy.

Wish we could normalize for the zapathons when the heavy hitters are blasting everyone versus normal zaps.

Closed an old fiat account today and this was staring me in the face…I had a good chuckle at the “full faith and credit” tid bit. The banker was not as amused 🤣

Yep! Many still don’t even get what it is…so I’m also “that guy” too.

‘Cause they ain’t got zaps! Haha my shit-posting makes more than them “reselling rights” to their NFTs.

Bitty wins again!

Lulz, looks like even Meta is waking to the NFT BS scam… that’s saying a lot! https://t.co/bVIpgTNgfS

The bigger they are, the harder they fall!

Crazy enough, this was the 2nd largest bank failure in US history behind on Wash. Mutual in 2008 and yet most Americans are none the wiser to who SVB even is.

The FDIC certainly staved off system wide panic (for now), or at least provided confidence to depositors, but as you mentioned, they probably opened the door for more risky moves by desperate banks trying to get ahead or stay above water.
