Thankfully his bandmates calmed him down before he threw it and then they launched into Wardance. It was a perfect Killing Joke moment.

And they were putting out great material for a lot longer than most people think.

RIP Geordie Walker, one of the most inventive guitarists of the post-punk era. One of my most cherished concert memories is the fear of being brained by a mic stand he was threatening to hurl at heckler standing behind me when I saw them at Roadburn in Holland in 2012.
I dunno, what are the hours?
This live album from 1974 is too often overlooked in favour 1973's Space Ritual (greatest live album of all time imho) but the recording quality is better and it features hidden gems like this monster which was never recorded in the studio and only ever appeared on the b-side to the Psychedelic Warlords single.

Get back to work

Great film. Love me some early De Palma.
Full article here. Anton hit the dude with his guitar!
I'm so glad The Brian Jonestown Massacre were able to keep their shit together for the Adelaide show. Ryan and Anton did have a brief shoving match and the situation was pretty damn tense, but at least they got through the set.

I love the handful of bands I know on this. Looking forward to checking out the rest.
Ooh this looks good. I'm glad to see El Paraiso Records get a mention - some of my favourite music of the last 20 years has been on that label.
Cool garage noise project featuring Maso Yamazaki (aka Masonna) on vocals.
The original recording from before Roky joined The 13th Floor Elevators.

Awesome!
They only did one album called Black Monk Time and there's not a trace of filler on it. One of the best albums of the 60s.
What the hell, here's one more.
