"She will go from high school graduate to commercial pilot in just 55 weeks."
Oh, that's nice.
You wish your favourite band was this cool.

And no, I don't consider nostr to be secure and I find many of the devs frankly untrustworthy so I'll go back to posting dumb memes and musical hot takes now.
It's important that we have everyone at the front line but you still need a safe harbour if the shit goes down. You have to assume that every transaction is logged and the identity of every key is known. Yes, technically the blocks will roll inexorably on but that means nothing when they can do to you what they did to Assange at a moment's notice. Too many of you are hoping to skate by because you're fundamentally not worth the bother to the security state, which is probably true. Bravo for you.
Bitcoin is where the current fight against global finance is at, but precious metals are a hedge against a technological dystopia - for real SHTF hours. Arguing about which squiggly goes up faster just marks you as an unserious person.
I''m becoming more and more convinced the whole concept of "online security" is impossible.
But only to China and Iran. The people who help blow up the World Trade Centre, locked everyone down for two years and then blatantly stole an election, gulaging anyone who complained about it, would never do such a thing to their own people.

Oh, and all those service which promise anonymity? Yeah, they built those, just like TOR. They also approved all the encryption methods which means they have the keys.

But I'm sure they gave up after 2018. Surely it couldn't be even worse now could it?

Why does no one want to acknowledge this shit?

There is some bad, bad shit coming down the pipeline and no matter how many times you shut your eyes, click your heels together and tell yourself "bitcoin fixes this" it isn't going to change a damn thing. Bitcoin and nostr could be important points of resistance but there's way, WAY too much new age utopianism dragging both down at the moment. Anyone who lives in the western world currently lives in a totalitarian surveillance state beyond the tawdry imagination of Orwell and precious few bitcoiners seem willing to face the reality of the situation because their too busy counting their digital Beanie Boos and telling themselves they're smarter than the people who squandered their savings on retarded monkey JPEGs.
Every time bitcoin rallies too many people around here act like it'll never crash again and I honestly find the whole discussion around the subject maddening, particularly since it's all largely theoretical given that there are still no signs of mass adoption. To the bulk of social media maxis it's just a get-rich-quick scheme and frankly those people are no better than the teenage YouTubers pumping shitcoins.
Mind you, saying Bitcoin is finished because the price is going up is a special kind of stupid. I suspect on some level Peter is trolling at this point.
Yeah, this is retarded, but quite frankly it's no dumber than those Bitcoiners who insist that precious metals are suddenly "irrelevant" now that people have fucking smartphones.

I've been meaning to check that one out myself.
