Huh?

I learned the hard way if you just enable Proton in Steam you can play basically any game without anti-cheat on Linux ezpz. Now if only controller support was so seamless.

Been awhile, Pirmal or Amethyst for NOSTR on Android?

I'm thinking about doing the same. X throttles anything I post even if it gets engagement from huge accounts. Feels pointless by now to even say anything as it gets shadowbanned.

NOSTR still is budding but we absolutely should do more legwork IRL to get people here. With more content NOSTR could easily replace captured social media, which I believe is Jacks dream for it. I'm gonna have to setup my own relay and start using it more myself.

Pretty whack that the "latest" tab on here is content from 24-48 hours ago. All of which is bitcoin focused. I appreciate bitcoin and I use it but its the last thing I want to talk or think about all day. Sure it helps battle fiat, but the kingmakers of Fiat are and will be taking it over and using it to keep track of peoples finances are a microscopic level. It's been years and nobody is hosting blockchained elections, transactions are still cumbersome and cna be pricey. Like most solutions of today, its great but it isn't implemented at scale and large forces will prevent that indefinitely. Until we find a way to break free from the forces in control we are but fish in their barrel.

We have new stuff. Not much tested yet, so feedback is welcome:

1) Iris Docs — https://docs.iris.to

Proof-of-concept collaborative text editor and simple canvas on Nostr. Recently also added a chat, so might rename to Iris Apps?

2) IrisDB — https://github.com/irislib/irisdb

Extensively used by Iris Docs. Tree-like data structure on Nostr.

Build wikis, marketplace apps, games and other decentralized applications where users can choose whose edits they want to see (e.g. followed users, extended social network or specific group).

Enables science fiction stuff like deleting & unliking posts, or editing a user profile or list of users without risking overwriting the whole thing with an out-of-sync version.

Use a filesystem-like interface to create all kinds of applications on Nostr without having to define obscure event kinds for each purpose.

Has simple & powerful useLocalState and usePublicState hooks for React applications.

3) npm create iris@latest — https://github.com/irislib/iris-docs

A template that quickly gets you started with Nostr & IrisDB web application development. with dev tools and basic components like login, settings or avatar. Built on Iris Docs — remove the parts you don't need. Decentralize everything!

wow very cool to see more applications using nostr

I can certainly find content yes. But part of the appeal of social media is when it shows you interesting content you didn't know was there.

I think the hype was too early. Clients weren't as accessible. I also had to create a new key because my dumbass logged out and hadn't recorded my private key. Hopefully it picks up steam. It would help if people posted interesting content on NOSTR instead of ads for shit and bitcoin circle jerking.
