I use primal and Iris but really want a good multi-column option. Rabbit is okay but the UI is hectic.

Very true! I just learned this morning that having more relays slows things down. I cut back the 14 I had listed to just 3 and now Nostr is super fast! Again, that would have been nice to know and would make new folks have a better #nostr experience.

Ok, closer. I had to fix CORs to make the others work. I also had a single character typo in my .toml file - fixed that and now I’m good.

Regardless, you 99.9% good now.

How many relays do you suggest to user?

For a healthy experience...

I’m using just three and things are MUCH faster.

I can see that nostrudel shows a yellow text for a split second before switching to verified.

Will look into this later.

Thanks for the zap! Did you get everything setup and working? After all of this I’m thinking of writing a short blog post on #nostr setup for new folks.

Because each connection duplicates every post you download. So, instead of downloading EVERY post just once, you are downloading a copy for every relay you add, using a lot of your data plan and battery.
