Hello, I work on video game playthings in my free-time. Quake/Half-Life modding veteran, worked on some commercial game stuff too. Been a computer nerd since I was 4. It taught me English so hard I now reside in the United States. Available as a contractor too for all things sysadmin, UNIX and old school game engines.

Back from a social media break, was on a mission :bond:

nostr:npub1kavrw5k02n6yaseahs0mkzltwyt7f80725wakt8xas3qvrg8zvgsr69n8w It's really nice to just have a single target to build against. It's the _one_ Linux hardware/software target that matters right now

My dorky ass talking like a robot today. I apologize.

...and here's base1 and some other maps. Work on the GameAPI support still ongoing, but it'll be very easy from here to support the new MachineGames addon levels.

I'm going to take a break from all this, I was play testing and poking the tech quite a bit. I feel a massive anxiety attack creeping up now. Maybe Spike is poking at nostr:npub1ckkps7e3zwudhj68grqv85hkledran862vatxu7mhje3wgm4clnsnz336d support already but I haven't discussed anything with him yet. There's some API hurdles we have to address but it seems feasible for now to have support for the re-release stuff in just like we did for Q1.

There's also a test map (test/paril_soundstage) that shows off reverb and tests sound attenuation. So the soundscape should be a bit more varied.

also first time in a while I had to ban someone today for cheating...

we record mvd's all the time, you'll get sorted out you dummies.

:quake: QuakeWorld status report:

got my ass kicked today

dipshits get a lifetime block for free

So that's what it looks like when a key gets revoked on #SteamDeck

nostr:npub168303eezkmd40tdp5kvpaapr5uky8s66u6uaexz5qr334ft77jrsvaf0qg Some people may disagree with your perspective because they simply don’t see the same feed and experience it the way you do. I’m from a relatively small instance and it’s a very different experience since it mainly federates with people that interact within a certain in-group and it filters out a a lot of noise as a result. From having been on Mastodon before I know some instances have a lot of noise!

That doesn’t excuse anything, nor is my post meant to - but I feel a lot of people don’t get each other due to the missing shared experience due to decentralization.

I think you speaking up is very important and people should listen.
