Not nit picking just a note for others or history, I think the 25 USD one is off. Everything else looks like roughly half the sats as the prior post. Just a typo I would think. To err is human.

#asknostr Does anyone know if there is any way or benefit to use an ASIC miner to pair with a lightning node? Or do you just have to have a second full node for lightning on a second device?
Separately can you use an ASIC for all the standard btc node operations in addition to the mining like sending btc?

If a currency is censorship resistant, it will attract uses that would otherwise be censored. Such as illicit activity. I’m not sure why people blanch at this.
If your currency isn’t being used for illicit activities, that means it can be censored, No?

All the problems of a cornfield, the diseases, the pests, the work, degraded soil, result from the idea of a cornfield which is fundamentally alien to nature. These problems are accepted as the cost in exchange for the benefits of the cornfield, (the simplified and predictable, marketable yield) or else they go unnoticed and unaccounted for in the cost benefit analysis.
Humans live in an unnatural world of their own making. All the problems of a society can be traced back to the idea of a “society” which is fundamentally alien to the environment humans evolved from.
The trajectory of society is to become more and more alien to human nature. The driving force of this trajectory are the benefits that society creates which are freely purchased at the cost of this alienation or else have gone unnoticed in the accounting.
Remaining human as society continues on its path will take intention and effort.
- Unplug from screens
- Take up hobbies which imitate ancient human practices like growing a garden, raising livestock, hunting, etc.
- Be intentional about fostering face to face community, and friendships
- Let yourself go hungry
- Let yourself experience boredom, which fosters entertaining yourself with more productive ventures.
- Walk in nature
- Watch a fire burn
- Do things which strengthen the body and raise your heart rate.
- Enjoy a good meal
- mix and combine the above.
I would presume putting a list somewhere of notes that have already been verified that relays and clients could access to avoid repeatedly verification is overkill?

Confirmed, I found the thread where you complain about Bot notes ruining the thread, without the Damus relay I don’t see the bots that you see. Because I don’t have a relay in common with them, I don’t see their notes in your thread. The bots will be on the most popular free relays.
Changing clients is one thing, the other option is changing relays. The bots will most likely be worse on free relays. Paid or more exclusive relays should have less bots. The tools aren’t available yet to discover to my satisfaction from what I am aware, but in theory it may be specific relays that you have in common with the bot which is why they are a problem for you. I still get some too but sounds like they are worse for you. I dropped the Damus relay a week or so ago you may try that as well. So far I haven’t noticed any negatives but again the tools for relay selection are not yet good enough. But we are early.
