I think one thing I hear missing from all the 'protein' discussions are the importance of fats to your diet. Babies especially need lots of fats to have healthy brain development and protection from falls. We all need some fats, and I have not seen any alt-proteins with much fats in them.
I will say this; living off the scraps from Longshank's table makes you pretty damn tough and lean.
