Wanted:
A leaderboard service that I can send 1% split to from BBall
It needs to track the songs and the show it was played on ( all music podcasters are welcome!)
Artists who are not on wavlake need to be able to track their performance as well
Bonus if you surface Boostagrams!!

I love listening to your show!
Curious about your setup.
Are you using a mixer? Hardware, software? How are you creating the VTS?
Thank you for offering a split, no need at all. "Boosting is loving" is open source!

Adam - am just wondering what players support the IPFS by default and what is their market share. Oh and how are we able to track plays if we support this format?

What players support this by default? I could see it helping reduce cost for hosting providers but it depends on how many players support it and support it by default. Sometimes seems we support things and they don’t take off which means it’s just a cost that we take on to be cool.

ALL clients support the way nostr:npub1g6plln20m4g7e42zedtrsxf08sc9mw2n23c6d2p02rf6302z4xkqyudgtx has this set up. Take a deeper dive.

I think there was increased demand for internet in the woods this weekend. My bitcoin node started falling behind, then LND, and boosts.
Was about 30 minutes behind, but caught up on all the IPFS splits.
I'm sure a few never made it to my LND node.

nostr:npub1df6eyr7x6cv4gq99h3rjnhj6f4yqzxa97pxf2ecxeq82ea8mwdyqfgns3a You don't need releases? Or does the v4v upload give you cover?

I got hammered for a secret work music server built off Napster... #gunshy

I think the music industry gave us all PTSD when it comes to playing music in our podcasts.
Meanwhile, I think Boostagram Ball is F-ing revolutionary!! #bravozulu
nostr:npub1xau4x0r5nyk2y8dhxke202zu4jp8jh9lwhwchuxr4zx2gtgnqghs5fhnwe artists have to own their publishing and not license their work to a PRO.
I'm sure there will be confusion somewhere down the line. That's what DMCA is for. Cover songs are a problem.

Did you get/need permission/waivers to play each track on your show?
Or do the artists give you download/playability terms if you give them their splits? How does that work?

Asking for a friend! 🤠☕️🎵
nostr:npub1xau4x0r5nyk2y8dhxke202zu4jp8jh9lwhwchuxr4zx2gtgnqghs5fhnwe you upload to a v4v service and put it in the index, you are good to go. That's the entire point!
NAS is the best instance in the Fediverse. So many high-quality posts, so few shitlord trolls. By and large, people respect one another and the post quality is high, despite Adam's opinion on memes.
Thank you all for making this such a great place on the Internet. I am enternally grateful to you all. You make me laugh, you educate me, and I very rarely have to send DMs to ask intoxicated people to chill out.

What's the best way to onboard a podcatser into V4V who knows nothing about the project, is not tech savvy, and does not know about the Lightning Network?
Links to any resources would be appreciated

Correct all the nodes hosting the file get a portion. I don't think you can know *who* served up the file because it's stored in chunks (like bit-torrent). One playback may pull a chunk from all the nodes. Which makes it faster/more responsive with more nodes.
When you get "too many" nodes, the payouts will be smaller (100 nodes = 1/100th share). You could increase your split ; ) or let them self-regulate. They may un-favorite if only getting 1 sat.
