Today I made the resolution to add new peers to my node. I don’t want to overwhelm my network connection straight away so I am testing the water bit by bit, I added 8 more nodes to my list. But I made sure to pick those located either in paria countries (we all know which…) or locations with very few nodes in remote areas like Atlantic islands. Is somewhere out there a more experienced bitcoiner with a node for tricks and tips about how best improve connectivity and help the bitcoin network? I’d be very keen to learn more.

I think I fixed it, turns out I was using a very old version of the wallet of Satoshi. So, for other Nostrers out there having the same issue, check that your LN wallet is updated if you have this kind of issues!

Hey man, I am a data engineer. I’ve been into bitcoin since around 2021, and heard about Nostr on Twitter. I kept DCAing through the bear market but the interest for the tech kind of diminished. Nostr and LN reignited it. Now I run my own node and starting diving into bitcoin developing. I did zap a couple of people but none has ever zapped me yet… so feel free to be the first lol

Yeah, but the issue is the same right? How many times you get notified for the same event.
To be fair, yesterday I got notified about 25 times for notes by you on snort, so I would say that it looks more like a protocol issue rather than individuals doing something on purpose. I suspect it has to do with how many relays broadcast the same note and the lag between each transmission. There must be a way to filter fir the same message. Maybe a dictionary of fingerprints kept by the client to keep track of notifications? @devs
