Western gate of old Meybod.
The southern Gate (Shamsabad gate-Bazar Gate) is considered the most important entrance of Meybod. The leftovers of one of its two towers are still in evidence. The importance of this gate is due to its being beside the ancient highway of Ray-Kerman which โ passed through the southern part of the city and many passengers interred the big market place of the city through this road.
The โwestern gate or Kasnava Gate, which is still safely raised, has a way to the complex on the one side, and on the other side joints the ancient gardens of Kasnava.
The eastern or Koochok gate which is the farthest gate to the city center is the main connecting way of Sharestan to the Eastern outskirts.

The fifth studio and first concept album by the British artist, released on June 16, 1972
The album features the story of a rock and roll character named "Ziggy Stardust". Ziggy Stardust is a humanoid Martian who tries to give humanity a message of hope during the five years he spent on Earth.
Upon its release, on June 6, 1972, "Ziggy Stardust" reached number five on the UK charts and number seventy-five in the USA.
As a result, the album received platinum and gold status on both sides of the Atlantic. The album's only single, "Starman", reached the tenth position in the UK chart, and in the USA its maximum was #65.

Did you know that Casa do Penedo, also known as the "Stone House" or the "House of the Flintstones", is a unique construction located in the mountains of Fafe, in the north of Portugal.
It was built in 1974 as a vacation home, and is characterized by being integrated into its natural environment, using four large rocks as part of its structure.
The house, which resembles a prehistoric hut, features a thatched roof and wooden windows and doors.
Despite its rustic and old appearance, it has modern comforts inside. Over time, it has become a tourist attraction due to its unique design and its integration with the surrounding landscape.
Casa do Penedo is an example of organic architecture, where the structure adapts to nature instead of modifying it.

Fingalโs Cave is a sea cave on the uninhabited island of Staffa, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, known for its natural acoustics.
Also, the cave is known for its hexagonal basalt columns and its cavernous structure that resembles a natural cathedral.
Swim Fingal's Cave, Staffa
Wild swimming in Fingalโs Cave is a real adventure. The basalt columns and 60m long chasm which forms the cave is a stunning piece of geology and an swim of epic proportions. Snorkel and free dive the surrounding kelp beds of this legendary cave!
Fingalโs cave, along with all the smaller caves around the island provide amazing opportunities to see the geology and spectacle of the location at sea level. Either by snorkel or by swimming, you can see an entirely different perspective. Floating in the mouth of the cave, itโs stunning to look straight up the basalt pillars and rock formations then dip your head under water and see the colonies of marine life. Some of the offshoot caves have smoothed rock faces and geology that has to be seen to be believed.
Another way we like to explore the area is via kayak or SUP. Deploying from our large RIBs you can easily paddle around the cave to marvel at the spectacle from water level without getting too wet!
We usually visit Fingalโs Cave during our multi-day tours of the Hebrides. This unique island is often a highlight for many! Swimming in the cave does require specific weather conditions so our multi day trips give you the best chance of getting the right weather window. The cave is around 3 hours by our fast boats to reach from Oban; when we are based on Coll for multi day shark trips itโs only around 30-45min away.
We can also offer this as a day tour as a private charter from Oban or Tobermory (Mull), however it's at least a 10 hour tour and around 100miles travelling, which is reflected in the tour cost. Of course if we have settled weather and enough people, then you're in for a total epic day with all the places and wildlife to see along the way.

This Minoan gold double-bladed axe, dating to around 1500 BC, was discovered in the Arkalochori Cave on Crete.
This axe is made of gold and has a special inscription in a writing system called Linear A, which nobody has been able to fully decipher yet. Some experts think these symbols might be a prayer to the goddess Demeter.
People used to leave these axes in the cave as offerings to the gods, kind of like how we might leave flowers or candles in a special place.
This shows us that even thousands of years ago, people had complex religious practices and skilled craftsmanship.
The axe is now kept in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
