Rep. Matt Gaetz (Fascist-FL) on Saturday became the latest prominent Republican to say the quiet part out loud and call for the use of political violence to achieve the GOP’s agenda.
Addressing a crowd at the Iowa state fair, Gaetz suggested that “only through force do we make change in a corrupt town like Washington, DC.”

Which is more idiotic, not understanding that violence is the continuation of intention by other means or believing violence also makes change?
When any institution, public or not, relies on something other than its own sovereignty, you really shouldn’t attribute independence to it. We are all in this together, not independent from each other. The more you complain about your rights being trampled, the more trampling naturally emerges.
Can you conceive of an emergent process devoid of change? Change becomes fundamental accordingly.
Often I find myself confused in conversation, and then it is clarified when I find I am talking to one who believes in an eternal, unchanging universe, about which we can hold some truths, while I myself am thinking not so much of what is changing as to the change itself being the only eternal. Your reference to “the water of reality that we swim in’ makes sense to me as what I call a stable complexity of conversation - that about which our experience allows us to share in understanding. It is all beautiful to me, what I get @walker to mean about ‘Drink the Sunlight’. Those things conversing and that which the conversation is about both change. What emerges from that process cannot be understood by what came before.
Can someone explain the difference in the way Nostr processes a response to a post versus an original post? Is there a preferred way to share on Nostr? 1) Responses to post or 2) Original posts?

I appreciate this way of thinking. Temporary Illusions make sense to me as Temporary Rationality - that which binds the complexity as stable to us and informs our ability to communicate. Understanding the layers of incentive that drive action (all action, not just human action) does not come from reason. More than etymology relates the Theological, the Theoretical and the Theatrical.

My daughter believes his politics represents those of the poor, working class, deplorables that the ruling class want us to believe is the biggest threat to our democracy. She told me the line about ‘the obese milking welfare’ is a racist dog whistle.
I am more inclined to believe he is making a statement about the means by which the ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ prioritizes the re-distribution of wealth to secure their own positions, but i am a boomer.
There are many ways to lay the blame for the obese situation. I don’t particularly believe one more than another. It does make sense to me that the churn those beliefs produce is more responsible for change than the beliefs themselves. Churning something new is the work of creators and songwriters. Let us keep churning and watch what happens.
If there were a way to donate the keys to my wallets holding 1 sats, perhaps the miners could figure a way to dust-up.

Nothing will change so long as the ruling class insures that the taxed class continues to protect the very institutional systems that enrich them.
One might go so far as to say that more people owning guns under his authority might be best.
My opinion on the issue of gun control (perhaps it is not nostr's opinion) is that the issue is inevitably related to the authority under whom the gun is controlled. For now, I am not ceding that authority to others.
