I’ve found the most challenging concept to help average folks get through is simply self custody of keys. This is the big departure from password-based centralization. I think browser extensions help with this.
It is also the easiest benefit to shill as well. There isn’t a giant database with passwords for companies protect. The attack surface for large account breaches completely changes with key-based identity.
Bitcoin adoption also helps. If I am used to keeping keys for my wallet, my nostr keys is pretty similar.

Decided to take a different approach today and run an umbrella on my home server for #noderunning 🤔
Have other #nodestrich used containerized approaches like this or are most of us still building from source and stitching the configs by hand?
My sense is that we would start seeing archival relays before too long. That is, relays with slower storage and retrieval that free up the critical path relays from having to keep events at the ready for as long.
I’ve been working on something very tangentially related to this as a side project for a little bit now… wonder if all relay operators are feeling the squeeze as well around storage/service costs 🤔
