oh dear what a rabbit hole this looks to be! 🐇🕳️
There are a number of people who write and speak about this.
Most insightful for me up until now has been Ken Wheeler, Theoria Apophasis on YouTube.
For more practical stuff, Bob Greenyer of the Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project has done some great work. It is consistent with the HammerHoff / Penrose theory of consciousness being the effect of toroidal moments occurring in the microtubules of the brain. Toroidal structures being fundamental to the technology, since they are inherent to magnetism.
Then there is Dan Winter who did a space on this topic (specifically relating to gravity and what it is) recently: https://x.com/arrowbombadil/status/1893701337101000737
I haven't spent much time on his work yet, but there is a TON of information there to learn and understand.
As far as I can tell, there are very few people who are even aware of this, and much less people actually working on anything independently. I have spent a good 18 months deprogramming myself of atomistic physics and now I have started ordering custom magnets and messing around with arrays. There is significant untapped potentially in this stuff.
awesome! sounds interesting. will go through this all later! thank you for taking the time 🙏
you and me both!

I've deleted my Twitter account. Some days after my username was made available for anyone to grab (contrary to what used to happen traditionally). Some unfunny imbecile grabbed it and is now running free there making retarded posts while still trying to put out a facade of legitimacy. This is all fine, I don't mind, it's ok.
What really bothers me is that all the old tweets from people who had mentioned "@fiatjaf" in all past discussions now link to this new fake profile. How can they not index the mentions by any form of unique account id, but only by username? And then they allow people to freely change usernames and cause all links to break -- and someone else takes the old username and now all the links point to the wrong place.
Is this nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m's broken code that no one had the time to fix in 20 years or what?
fuck em. well done 🔥
keep going 🔥
lol welcome to nostr 🫂
Interesting,
I had to google everything you said, I found a guy called Sascha Lord, and I found the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, but I figured that wasn't it.
It looks like your investigating political options.
I'd never considered involving politics in any plan, but as you said, I don't think politicians are going to help save them.
I've had zero involvement with politics my entire life, my father advised Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair as a Chairman of the CBI, but the only thing that achieved were public honours and regular drinks invites to No. 10. I don't think my Dad would have considered his political toe dipping to have had an significance to his successes.
As for me, I've had encounters with politicians like Michael Gove and Boris Johnson, but I've always found them self serving and looking at their angle all the time. I'd prefer not to involve politicians in any actions we take, they would just get in the way.
I was thinking more in terms of building a Bitcoin bank (except it wouldn't be called a bank for obvious reasons), which would effectively incorporate a payment company like MUSQET and a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve to build wealth over time for the hospitality businesses.
Perhaps we could provide Fiat + Bitcoin fused loans like this below:

its not so much that im trying to involve politicians. thats not the intent at all. its trying to get industry trade press to pick it up. so far ive been ignored and told its too niche an issue. the article you referred to yesterday stemmed initially from some tirade sacha lord was on. the ntia = night time industry association. which i think was set up by sacha lord. i couldnt care less about these associations, its just theyre the ones the trade press covers relentlessly so its worth a shot.
a good friend of mine is a ceo of a 100 venue group - he's very dismissive about the issue and thinks margins are fine.
which reminds me of a quote from this mornings industry trade press: " sector challenges ‘a cycle like any other’: Singaporean restaurateur Ellen Chew has told Propel that London’s Chinatown “has really changed in the last 15 years” and the challenges being experienced by the sector are “a cycle like any other”, which can lead to opportunities."
theres this myopia and expectation that things will always function as they have, which prevents those from within the system seeking a solution outside of it.
