Good afternoon trendsetters!

Just had a stranger try and break into my motel room with a key card I lost a couple of days ago. Thankfully it wasn’t programmed to my room anymore!

It’s always unnerving when you can hear someone yanking on your motel room door handle and the electronic sounds of the key failing to open! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Over and over…

After peaking through the blinds and realising they were only a friendly meth head I confronted them and they said that they were just returning the key! At 930PM, wearing a big backpack, no knocking on the door…they were just going to put the key inside the room for me apparently - bless! For them, leaving the key at reception was obviously an inferior idea.

In hindsight I should have taken the opportunity to set them up with an nsec and rewarded them with a big zap for being such a stand up citizen! 😜

Morals of the story:

Don’t drop your motel key 🔑 on the ground in public.

Don’t stay at motels, stay in hotels. But if your employer is paying for the room…

Dead bolt your room door shut or wedge it closed.
