Saw a note (love you nostriches) saying your magic as a child was the effort your parents put into Christmas.

Now we can’t be grumpy, we can’t focus on what went wrong, who didn’t sort the sprouts pr the pain wrapping Christmas presents was, we bring the magic and we sort to food!!!!

But then, we’re now the adults, we also need to do what we can to make this time magical for OUR parents with their grandkids……. It won’t be magical for the kids for too much longer and the parents won’t be around forever. We put in the work now for the future, low time preference.
