Whom would you like to see debate Balaji next week on Reason’s channel?

Oh really? Huh. Do you know if that happens to have been recorded?

Not how I'm used to seeing Balaji operate, but we'll see.

Excellent point. If you aren’t gambling your manhood, what are you even doing?

But $2 million is a lot to pay for some more Twitter followers. And of his scenario doesn’t materialize, doesn’t this permanently torch his credibility? Seems pretty flawed as a publicity play.

So do we think Balaji is serious?

I've learned a lot reading and then talking with

#[0] and Arnold Kling.

Check out this bit where we discussed moral hazard issues, the effects that regulations have had on banking innovation and competence and the dangers of "zombie banks."

I’m sympathetic to the notion but think it could be largely achieved without a full-on national divorce.

Always a little surprising when posts get more engagement on Nostr than on Twitter despite the much wider reach of the latter.

Unsurprisingly, #[0] killed it in this recent interview I hosted discussing Silicon Valley Bank, Bitcoin, "operation chokepoint 2.0" and the insolvency of the Federal Reserve itself. https://www.youtube.com/live/WalAt5nyJY0

I’d think the goal would be to enable seamless point-of-sale similar to Apple Pay. If you’re nervous about govt chokepoints, still fairly easy to self custody the bulk of your btc and just regularly top off the lightning wallet, right?

Thank you! I was having trouble finding her on here

Tomorrow at 1pm ET, will be talking with Lyn Alden and Arnold Kling about the Silicon Valley Bank fiasco and whether the worst is yet to come for American banks and the Fed… https://www.youtube.com/live/WalAt5nyJY0?feature=share
