Persian silk tree (Albizia julibrissin), also lovingly known as the Bastard Tamarind. It’s a fast growing nitrogen fixer that thrives in poor soil and has amazing fragrant blooms in mid-summer. Also supposedly good fodder for livestock, and the hummingbirds and insects love it. Finally got the Maya from @mountainorganics rooted and healthy. She’s a finicky plant compared to all the other broad-leafed stuff sharing space, slow to root and doesn’t like to be fed. On the other hand, she has elegant slender leaves, an awesome strong branching structure, and a very loud, uplifting herbal lemon funk 🌿🍋🕺

The most narrow-leafed of The One BC1 (number 3). Much lighter green, with a sweet, skunky blueberry smell. It was my least favorite, since I usually prefer the more offensive flavors, but it’s got a blueberry pancake thing going that has been growing on me. My favorite of The One BC1 from @mountainorganics (genotype number 2). Pine, hash, forest floor, and a deep musky funk. Shortish stretch, sturdy frame, and dense colorful flowers. All of my genotypes were fairly broad-leafed and hashplant like. The effect of this one is heavy, relaxing, and appetite inducing.
