Me to my 13yo: do you want your allowance in BTC?

My 8yo: I want my allowance in BTC too!

You need a "if you don't love me at my bear market you don't deserve me at my bull market" meme :)

Because, I don't know, fuck CSW.

People should donate to anyone willing to stand up to him in court.

Done. Zap!

This was a bit of silliness I made last night that's a bit apropos to this situation:

The "everybody is stupid except me mentality". Gotta love the humility and self-awareness. Haha.

One of my favorite books is "The Dictator's Handbook: Why Bad Behavior Is Almost Always Good Politics". This podcast interview with one of the co-authors provides a good summary (link here is Part 1 of 2). The principles nicely apply to democratically elected or corporate leaders as well.

The underlying assumption: every leader's main goal is to stay in power.

Based on that, the question is: who does the leader have principally please by investing time/money/energy in order to remain in power? In the context of a dictatorship it's generally the inner circle of cronies; in democracies this would generally include primarily swing states/districts/regions. The only real difference is the size of the group that must be pleased.

Of course this is a oversimplified summary but it captures the main point. As well, the co-author also takes a cynical, but well-argued and logical view of other topics such as foreign aid.

100%. I can certainly understand the argument for legit use cases such as proof of ownership of things like event tickets, or hell even the deed to one's home. A bunch of stupid jpegs ain't it.

Weird. I def got the zap, can see in my wallet right now.

Prediction:

When inflation gets under control, it will really be because people get squeezed to the point they don't have disposable income to weather it anymore. It's at this point central banks will pat themselves on the back and say "See? The interest rate increases worked!"

Their logic is like the person who notices the windows spin faster and think that it's what's causing heavy winds.

This one's for #[0]

Haha. Thanks! I love the Nostr, the community is amazing.

If I wasn't out right now I'd make a meme using the Soup Nazi saying "No Zap For You!" Haha.

Damn it, now I have Return of the Mack stuck in my head :)

Fair point. I'm principle they should be for entertainment, which is a social good.

Mobile game publishers primarily make games not designed to be fun, they're designed to be addictive in order to best monetize micro-transactions. Such a fiat mentality - let's produce garbage that's bad for individuals to enrich our shareholders.
