This year I’m leaning in even harder to self-sovereignty and decentralization. #lightning looks poised to take off and bring bitcoin utility to a whole new level, #DeFi is coming back around with real world assets being tokenized, and #nostr is here to take social media out of the hands of large corporations. Time to hop on the wave!

Umbrel plugged in and Bitcoin node is syncing! So much easier running a node than the last time I did 15 years ago.
Now to set up a Lightning node and wallet to start getting zaps.

I worked internal tech support at a tech company. No amount of technical illiteracy surprises me anymore. Senior engineers turning their monitor off and back on thinking that it was rebooting the computer was fairly common.
Finally getting back into running my own node thanks to #nostr and #lightning. The Black Friday deal from Umbrel was just too good to pass up. It’ll be great to have Pi-hole running again, too.
Even good healthcare plans barely cover dental. Good teeth are one of the few class signifiers left in the developed world, so they’ll keep it as unobtainable to us commoners as possible.
