Think they can legally do whatever they want with your account within their client...unfortunately. thats why we #nostr πŸ€™

Its interesting im having this thought. About a year ago some of my friends were willing to try mastadon which has a much worse discovery problem. They were willing though because news outlets, social media influencers cited it as a twitter alternative ( thats my guess). Nothing came of it cuz mastadon is horrible to actually use, but none of those same people have been willing to try nostr. No other insight just coming to mind.

#flowerstr

The lone white flower on one of my new magnolia trees.

Ya, great point. it requires work to create the feed you want to see. That is hard to do unless you are ready to deal with some growing pains ( was hard for me...still is).

Whether or not a fake acct or something seems kinda representative of many peoples lifecycle here πŸ˜”

Still love this place its either nostr or nothing for me but makes me more think how so many people cant transition (yet) from the legacy models.

Does primal have option to run over tor orbot similar to amethyst ? If not, on the roadmap ?πŸ€™πŸ€™

The key difference will be that users are able to better define censorship ( ideally by their own actions and not those of a few service admins) in their own interaction in nostr ( muting undesirable content, open source software that explains how algorythms work to filter what you see) vs. the existing opaque and centralized censorship that is exercised on fb, twitter, etc.

Ill have to check out coracle.. surprised Vitor hasnt implemented this yet ( like does that guy do anything anymore??πŸ˜…).

I hear you and feel that so strongly and go back and forth constantly with the word.

I think my continued use of it stems from wanting those pre-bitcoiner progressives we know to not buy into the FUD from the left around bitcoin, so a bit of marketing in terms of nostr:npub1fpcd25q2zg09rp65fglxuhp0acws5qlphpg88un7mdcskygdvgyqfv4sld etc. and I want so badly to evolve the word progressive to mean the fruition of these values in occupy and other via bitcoin, human rights, social justice, etc.

I know a lot of folks agree with you, and we’ll see lol. But I still like using it and hope people can see my views as amplifying and evolving this state-centric view of progressive as we currently know it.

πŸ€™ 100% friend, keep it up were all in this together even if we differ around the margins.

If hypothetically i wanted to run a private relay for my neighborhood or group of friends...how would that look with the nodeless relay service ? Or whatever the nostr relay service is called sry πŸ€™

On the bright side...he didnt actually lose anything πŸ˜‚
