I tried to enter my Npub and it said it doesn’t recognize it. Obviously no private key was asked for, so what is the scammer trying to gain here?

Purplepag.es has had a massive revamp overnight.

As part of its mission for 2026 the board of relay directors has approved expanding business to the broader category of "lists".

When purplepag.es started, the Board choose to focus on 10002 events, for relay discovery, answering the question "where shall I find my homies' relays?"

Since then, many other relay-lists came out: DM relays, search relays, wiki relays, etc.

So, let it be known, that from this day forward, purplepag.es accepts all 1xxxx kinds.

In addition to the current kind 0 (profiles) and kind 3 (follow lists), obviously.

Also, it actively crawls for newer data from people's relays; for example, if you publish a new profile or a new follow list only to your relays, it will get it.

And, one more thing: negentropy.

Apps can quickly retrieve all the events they need for their local operations and serve things in the nostr way: local-first.

What does this mean for you?

You will also have more reliable access to finding people's latest profiles, follow lists and relay lists, but that goes without saying.

If you are a developer, purplepag.es now will give a lot more data, and way more up-to-date, particularly from pubkeys that are followed, data will tend to be very fresh.

and yes the web login is alot better since the latest update great work

i tested the primal app on my grapheneOS mobile and it drained my battery totally so wiped it again and only use web login since then.

have the app update also fixed the heavy battery use on your mobile?

I would actually list Alby first on the Browser Extension tab and mention that it can be used to generate a keypair for the user.

I also suggest adding keys.band in addition to (or instead of) nos2x because it’s just a much better app.

Why did you remove local private key generation as an option? Now if someone wanted to onboard that way, they need to use a different app first.

nostr wins if it stops trying to be a twitter clone and starts being the invisible layer underneath apps you actually want to use. like bitchat for location-based messaging, diVine for entertainment, whitenoise for private messaging, zap.stream for streaming, shakespeare for vibe coding, etc.

Back in my martial arts days, we did pull-up contests. I touched 21 (ironically) at my absolute retarded peak where all I did was optimize for that like an absolute psycho, but couldn't do so today. Not even close.
