Home cooking Raw feeding Wifey vibing and Everything in between

I think 2024 is one of the best years of my life. I’m so lucky to wake up every morning next to my loving husband and share slow, meaningful moments together. Our two fur babies bring us so much joy and unconditional love. Being surrounded by love and support inspire me to keep growing into the best version of myself. Here’s to a year filled with love, gratitude, and simple joys.

I have been feeding these girls a raw diet for about 6-7 months. Mala (the brown one) has been on a raw diet since she was 3 weeks old. A month ago, we got Chaokaui (the black one), and she has been introduced to a raw diet since then.

Mala has always been a happy, healthy girl. Her teeth are clean and white, her structure and muscles look amazing—strong and lean. Her coat is always so soft, clean (not smelly at all), and shiny ✨ (everyone who pets her says so as well 🥰).

Chaokaui is a fully grown dog, and her previous owner fed her a mix of human-cooked meals and kibble. I’ve been carefully monitoring her diet. I started by gradually adding ground beef to her meals and slowly introduced small pieces of bone, like chicken feet or chicken wing tips. This way, I could observe the transition.

Her coat looks nicer now thanks to the diet and more frequent baths. Her 💩 is healthier, solid, and much smaller. Her breath smells much better, so she has much less of a “dog smell” when she cleans herself.

Feeding raw is great for your little ones (at least to mine), but it also requires time, effort, and care (as we all know, it’s the proof of work 😌). It’s not convenient, but it’s 💯 worth it.

Char siu - Cantonese roasted/BBQ pork with jasmine rice and duck egg (ข้าวหมูแดง) 😋

Many online recipes of this pork dish is using artificial food coloring to make the pork looks ‘red’. Traditional ingredients of making roasted pork/ BBQ pork or Peking duck is called for Angkak or red yeast rice which used in Chinese cuisine for centuries. It’s not only give the better food quality as it’s natural but it also provides better aroma and taste.
