I boughta brand new 2007 ford focus 5spd. Didn’t know how to drive stick. I needed to get home so I learned on the way home from the dealer. I had the basics down in a few min after talking to the salesman. Start on flat ground and keep the revs low. Feather the gas while lifting up on the clutch. Cable driven clutches are heavy by easy, next is hydraulic driven clutches lighter with less feel. One car I’ve always had an issue with is a WRX. I’ve driven everything from fords to jeeps to f350 diesel’s to a 1930 model A with no sycncros. I find it easier to stay awake on longer drives with a manual vs an automatic as well. Clutches can be replaced good luck!
Found this little guy today hung up in a barb wire fence an inch from death. Gonna see if the girls can nurse him back to health over the summer! Be a good summer project for a couple of homeschoolers! His breathing has smoothed out and he tried to lift his head after we gave him some fluids. When we found him his eyes were rolled back and very quick and shallow breaths.

I have a 2000w inverter with 2 79ah deep cycles and a 320w solar panel running our ham radio gear. Nothing is permanently setup. You could go that route or a jackery or blue yeti box and a panel.
It’s definitely a rabbit hole you can spend years playing with and still never get bored. I was able to get up to extra class in about a year, #[3] is studying for her General now. Our two girls love taking to Santa and I spend a lot of time chasing Parks On the Air or listening in on the Hurricane watch net in the fall.

Looks like a wolf spider if it’s bigger than a half inch. Smaller than a half inch it’s a brown recluse. Leaning at the wolf spider though.

That’s a big it depends. What kind of range do you want. Do you want local line of sight or do you want ability of world wide grid down comms. Testing is about $15 and the 10 year license is $35 to the FCC.
