I think it was nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs who argued that bitcoiners and grandmothers basically give the same advice:
-Save money, go for walks, plant a garden, eat real food, don't trust the banks, focus on your community, get some sun, etc.
I think that comparison is under-marketed. We need some memes about it or something.
It all sort of goes back to what Adam Meister said: "Personal responsibility is the new counter culture"
Would be great to get a little more non-bitcoin content on here.
He's right, you know?

Oh cool I didn't know because I haven't had a chance to mess around with my lightning node and/or lnbits for about 6 months, should have more time to look into it next month though, thanks for letting me know.
"trustless" as in "only as good as the fiat rails you're trading" which in this case would be CashApp, it's the best you can get with USD
Easier said than done but....
if CashApp had an API that you could query for a few sats over LN to query a CashApp txid for payment completion it would give us the rails over USD payments to build trustless bitcoin/usd trading tools on nostr because we could cross reference cash trades as complete to unlock bitcoin to buyers.
I'd love to see more tools on nostr to connect bitcoiners to trade btc and usd between each other.
I've spent the last 5 years working in B2B software development, getting bored as hell, really want to travel and live before I lose the rest of my youth to this career.
Enshrine your mind in beauty and grace, build an inner garden of peace and tranquility that will always be yours.
I don't mean that because of what you're doing Bitcoin will fail, I just mean that it's a lie to say "its dangerous to transact bitcoin with strangers" because it's not.
Because Bitcoin will fail if you're going around telling people to never transact with strangers, bitcoin can even be transacted with enemies.
What do you mean? Scammed out of funds because you trusted someone or accepted bitcoin from someone who had obtained it illegally and you didn't clean the coin?
Primal looking nice af
Odell, what client(s) do you use for nostr? I’ve only used Damus but I’m looking to try others.
I’d like to expand my cooking horizons a bit, getting tired of my usual repertoire, need to get more adventurous with my cooking.
Been lifting weights throughout the day when I feel like it, already starting to enjoy it a bit.
Lol no it won’t. Legacy nodes don’t even see Ordinals.
Twitter cost over $40 billion and you can’t even change your name all the time. Nostr lets you change your name all the time and it doesn’t even cost $8.
Absolutely, even for the instant settlement beats out everything else. FixedFloat has Lightning and it’s so nice to buy on chain bitcoin with lightning through tor+vpn.
Nah man we all fuck up the tag at the beginning, it’s ok
There have been days where it crashes for me and not much fixes it besides trying later or getting lucky.
I’ve been having some really weird behavior with astral, Damus has been good the past couple days for me *mostly*
I’m running astral from my raspberry pi so logging in through that with private key is probably ok since it’s local network only. Has been way buggier than Damus is for me though so I haven’t used it much.
I’ve been putting images I want to share on my own domain and just linking them directly through that as well.
Yeah it won’t update here on nostr, nostr only knows how to read the invoice, it doesn’t know the status of the transaction or anything. My node shows the invoice as paid! Cheers mate!
Your collection of bitcoin URL’s is incredible. I own bitcoinvoid.com, bitcoinglacier.com, timechained.info and rarepepe.club.
