I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bitcoin is as close to technological prophecy or fate as we'll ever get to experience. It's extremely significant. I don't think it will ever reach "mass adoption" but it will certainly be adopted by those with money. Bitcoin has marginally helped some poor people become rich but in the end it won't exist to save the poor, it will be adopted by the rich and powerful and used as defining difference between the rich and poor. Rich people own bitcoins, poor people don't.
