New Report from Great Fire reveals more about Apple's complicity with government censorship. Apple removed nearly 60 VPN apps from its Russia App Store. These were coordinated removals by Apple, not just responses to Russian comms regulator requests.

But I thought Apple cared about user privacy?

Good job!!
Thanks for your work! π«
If humans lived 2000 years, progress would be sooo much slower.
We need new generations to step up and take over with their youth and energy.
And if older generations didn't were forced by age to retire, I'm sure they wouldn't allow the new generations to step up.
Death is a society feature, not a bug.

big news ποΈ today: BOLT12 has officially been merged into the lightning bolt repo and is now considered part of the official lightning specification!! β‘οΈ
thereβs currently three implementations that support the official spec and are interoperable: core-lightning, LDK, and eclair/phoenix
this is the first new BOLT to be added since 2017 https://video.nostr.build/ceecbd82c2d7a23f5ae2ef650e77cd96cdfbaa8e511b6217284b654aa677177f.mp4
People getting so mad about this spam right now is because they care more about their product/service than about the #nostr protocol.

Reply Guy & friends are free auditors right now!
What about no NIP-05 alias? π
NIP-05 is not verification of a valid identity, it's verification of a valid DNS alias!
---
Please, I'm afraid I'm going to need PoW-notes in nostr:nprofile1qqs24yz8xftq8kkdf7q5yzf4v7tn2ek78v0zp2y427mj3sa7f34ggjcpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj703s8dt .
π
So, PoW is not coming to nostr:nprofile1qqs24yz8xftq8kkdf7q5yzf4v7tn2ek78v0zp2y427mj3sa7f34ggjcpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj703s8dt , I suppose, right?
π
Dearest ReplyGuy, great big bitch, I have updated my relays to require a valid NIP-05 author, OR a proof-of-work difficulty of at least 4.
I have also released a new version of #Nostrify with this policy: https://nostrify.dev/policy/all#domainpolicy
What about no NIP-05 alias? π
NIP-05 is not verification of a valid identity, it's verification of a valid DNS alias!

π
Does it makes sense for 'reports' (kind 1984) from your follows affecting also the WoT score?
Thinking out loud... π€
Indeed!
Mmmmm.... thinking in those connected EVs... π
No. NIP-05 can't be where the identity lies.
In #nostr the identity lies in the keypair (nsec+noun), not in the DNS alias.
That being said, clients can chose different strategies to signal suspicious npubs, true. And some of them could be related with failing NIP-05 aliases? Could be.
π«
NIP-05 is not verification, it's just a way to stablish DNS aliases.
Is he actually a spammer or a free auditor?
