big news 🗞️ today: BOLT12 has officially been merged into the lightning bolt repo and is now considered part of the official lightning specification!! ⚡️
there’s currently three implementations that support the official spec and are interoperable: core-lightning, LDK, and eclair/phoenix

It allows for infinite and reusable lightning invoice. A bit like a lnurl but also works in non custodial wallet like phoenix.
In theory it probably works right now for zaps, just gotta implement it on nostr and this might be complicated. I don't know.
That's great news! Really hope it could be implemented on nostr soon. Self-custody wallets should be able to support receiving zaps.
