relays are trusted since they already validate signatures, signature validation is quite taxing on mobile and grinds everything to a halt and kills battery. Its a tradeoff i made for now but should definitely be an option to turn on.

ah ok, makes sense. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a debugging leftover or something, probably deserves a comment in the code :)
