why is it almost impossible to find a hemp water bottle

nostr feels so much better

by the time AI is able to mimick anything remotely close to human spontaneity we will have figured out how to live without it.

maybe we can fix a lot of these issues by creating hardware that is not internet-enabled as a companion to internet-enabled hardware; like, hardware that only communicates with a secondary device or group of in-range devices, similar to a walkie talkie.

take biometric data as an example – all the data that we stop feeding to these Too Smart Phones is data that can and should be stored and shared privately. signing data might actually be useful if that data has only ever been stored in a fully offline personal device and every copy has a unique key.

I think the use of AI here is fundamentally unnecessary because it's real value is in data analysis. so in order to control AI you have to control your data. regulations concerning AI should actually start with the way data is scraped from both the internet and from devices (because they are doing that, too, and that's probably why Sam Altman knows his ass is cooked.)

all phone and app security updates are meant to do is make you feel better about being spied on.

there is literally no such thing as privacy or anonymity on any so-called smart device and there never was.

all of this talk of decentralization and protocol is illusion and I'm sorry to say that.

the other thing is that I don't understand why decentralized protocols or anonymity really even matters when everything has been backdoored and your devices are all keyloggable and live-surveillable.

we are like a half step away from some NSA goon being able to hit backspace on your internet rants as you type them and leave u cute little reminders in your notes app that u are being surveilled in real time.

I don't actually think anything matters more than hardware with zero backdoors that have, like, limited features and are only compatible with "decentralized" apps or whatever. so basically, hardware that blocks all KYC'd and backdoor'd software and services.

imo it's time for cypherpunks to evolve into cyphermonks and walk the walk if u get what I mean. don't just stop using the software, stop using the hardware.

tbh I hate it when there are scrolling problems and it would be nice if it was easier to upload multiple photos at one time. there is also something cringe about social media profiles in general. we need at least one platform where you're not even allowed to have an identity u just have words and that's it.

I will quit twitter forever.
