I have hope that bitcoin will be a positive force for humanity... and help shift us away from the dystopia that the insane people in power are directing us towards... i.e. the matrix and terminator views of the future (I'm also not naive enough to consider that bitcoin could also be a big psyop to get everyone digitally connected to the grid... once all money is digital, well, you might as well join the network as well, right? And getting chipped will be such an amazing human experience... lol.).
If the nutjobs pushing all this weren't so sus, I would feel more optimism. This has been part of the reason for my exploration into Christianity. I read a piece that made the point for atheists, that if you can rationalize that all of the evil you see in the world is due to the darkest of forces (the Devil), then why couldn't you rationalize that there is an opposing force of light and goodness (God). That's the question I'm currently exploring.
Anyway, I'm rambling. I'll end with a vid from Peter Thiel... there are many that appear to have tasted the god-complex, and feel the desire to shape, control, and transform humanity. I agree with Thiel that there are many "messed up" people in this world including the one being interviewed in the following... who has to think about the question, "Should the human race endure?". That's not the kind of person I want running my society.

I hope I haven't muddled this complex conversation about Bitcoin, money, technology, and all of the good, bad, and ugly that comes along with it. my goal really is to be a pure signal amongst the noise of the nutjobs, who I believe have been identified quite thoroughly by the Bitcoin community itself, and so Nostr has become a refuge for us all in keeping the vibes immaculate, as they say.
as for the question of Christianity and how it elucidates the broader scope of human progress, I would say that the Bible is the greatest training manual for pattern recognition in human history, and it should never be condensed into platitudes for our own consumption, so it is imperative to read the whole thing from front to back.
I would also recommend the Catholic Bible since it contains even more detailed information and narrative concerning the patterns of human history and our relationship with God as the arbiter of our destiny.
I did watch this interview with Peter, though I must say that I understand his perspective and the chasm he is attempting to bridge on behalf of those who might wish for an exit ramp from over two decades of cultish apostasy from true Western values and, especially, from the Christian tradition itself.

we should not be focused on Finding Satoshi, but on finding out the truth of why some innovators are afforded public fame and promotion, hype and hysteria, with very little fear of retribution, while others are not.
though I know that it is not in Satoshi's nature to be a Musk-type figure, can you imagine what the world would look like if he was at least able to use his great wealth to do what the PayPal Mafia has done, and more? and better? not to mention, much differently.
this is actually a tale of competing philosophies, and ours is one founded on what might be construed as Biblical, godly, holy, Christ-like principles.

strangely enough, all of the other pioneers of their craft, seemed to be pushed into the underground, save for a few crustpunks who managed to find their footing in other niches of technology and would serve as pseudo-liasons between two quickly-diverging worlds: Big Tech, Little Tech.
now, the only difference between Big Tech and Little Tech is money.
despite Musk's own assertions, this isn't about talent or work ethic or anything else, and all of his arrogance is easy to assume when you've got the same bankers behind the Federal Reserve racket wholly engaged in one particular "Master Plan for Civilization", to the detriment of all other forms of innovation.
whichever points can be made about the monopolization of America's tech industry, this one point must be made first: one cannot serve two masters.
yet, somehow, the entirety of the PayPal Mafia has served two masters, but neither of those masters was God above, as I reckon God would prefer to remain in His role as observer, watching all these human shenanigans play out and shaping the course of history so that, perhaps, we don't accidentally explode ourselves this time.

first of all, Palantir, as a company was invented in the year 2003. I have posited numerous times that the iPhone was actually designed and manufactured as a cute lil surveillance device, though the whole of Silicon Valley and the intelligence community will deny this, save for one Edward Snowden.
Palantir is ultimately an extension of the NSA, and the NSA has existed for long before smart phones and laptops. its domain is and has always been cryptography, which we all know to be the foundational origins of modern encryption – you know, the thing which purportedly scrambles data enough for hackers and mortal enemies of the state to have a difficult, but not impossible time, *decrypting* that data.
one might say that the entirety of Silicon Valley was founded for the sake of creating the Ultimate Surveillance State, but it was Musk whose part in this has always been a question, since he's not in the same domain as, say, Peter Thiel or the Google bros.
Musk has always been focused on the shiny dream of Mars Colonization, which is a fine thing in and of itself, but somehow has taken a turn for the worst: it has become a political crusade on behalf of his transhumanist religious beliefs, which he quite literally can't seem to let go of, even if his friends are showing signs of having their own "come to Jesus" moments.
but this isn't about his disbelief in Jesus, and I would reckon that it's not even about Mars; it's about how he became far more connected to the Israeli "Deep State" than we might want to imagine, and how his privilege in this domain has led him to believe that he can exercise his will over anyone and anything, whether it causes a cascade of death and destruction or not.
it doesn't matter to him whether the victims of his God-complex Crusades are American, for he believes himself to be the Ultimate American, though he is not; and according to our own rules, he can't ever be the President, which means he just might resent anyone who actually can.
