Part 2 of a 🧵about #hate.

When I ran for trustee, my signs were defaced with #antivaxx #antisemitic garbage. When I advocated for temporary masks in @OCDSB schools, the threats markedly worsened. For the most part, colleagues were silent.

No outcry. Not even checking in to see if I’m alright.

Weird? Not if you dismiss antisemitism.

I cannot imagine being silent. I would stand up to defend my colleague. In fact, I did, when it came to #antitrans hate. Which resulted in more attacks on me.

Funny how white supremacists, bigots, misogynists, antisemites, ableists, anti-vaxxers and disinformation spreaders don’t want me to be “divisive” by suggesting that we should mitigate the spread of diseases that result in death, disability, workplace absences, healthcare crises.

We are in for a very rough autumn.
