I’ve always believed understanding physic expands your consciousness.
Because most people would rather spend their time having authentic interactions instead of spending their time figuring out how to accumulate mass followers and clout. That’s what has made nostr so refreshing thus far, there’s barely any clout chasing and it’s mostly authentic, genuine conversation. If an Algo is implemented that favors certain posts over others, people will start posting so the Algo gives them preference, and interactions lose their humility and authenticity. I am not denying that some Algos have their place (in limited circumstances), but IMO nostr clients should avoid twitter-like Algos at all costs to avoid a repeat of the anger fueled shit storm twitter has become.
Who decides what is “good quality”? Algos like that are too easy to game, as you know, based on your meteoric twitter rise. That’s why I say it shouldn’t be done on a “main feed” but maybe a side feed or a filter that can show things like top zapped posts, top reposted etc. but it should never be forced on everyone. It needs to remain optional.
Algos that boost posts are what led to twitters demise. No post should have preference over any others on a main feed.
Found the first bona fide crypto cringefluencer on here. How long until she finds out an Algo won’t boost her posts to the top of everyone’s feeds?
