I’m on TestFlight and it loads that way where it shows the preview window and the URL. Does that with .webp format I believe. Whereas .jpeg and .png load directly and hide the link. Looks much cleaner.

Is diversification anything more than just selling winners for losers?

Obviously if you’re retired I understand. But for younger people why would you diversify? Seems like a signal that you haven’t done your hw.

Craig Wright claims to be satoshi (spoiler: he’s not) and has been on rampage of filing law suits against bitcoin oriented folks for various reasons. In this suit, he’s claiming that 110,000 bitcoin were stolen from one of his wallets (spoiler: it’s not his wallet). The specific legal issue he is arguing is that devs owe fiduciary duties to those who use bitcoin. He’s attempting to get the bitcoin devs to write into bitcoins code a “patch” that would allow the devs to return that amount to him with any private keys needing to sign off on the transaction. I don’t think he can win this battle, but he seems to be winning the war as his lawsuits are scaring off devs who don’t want to get wrapped up in this.

Yep. I dared to defend abortion rights using a screen shot of a tweet of #[3]’s that was refuting Saifedean’s cheering of Roe being overturned. I didn’t tag either of them. It didn’t go crazy, maybe a dozen likes and retweets, but apparently enough for him to see it. Boom, blocked.

Taleb is so fragile that I literally just replied to one of his tweets with a non-aggressive question and got blocked.

I’m no OG bitcoiner, but having a first edition hardcover of The Bitcoin Standard with the N.N. Taleb foreword makes me feel like one.

What’s the big deal, all of Bitcoin data is public?

Posting how many sats you bought is a big no-no, so why would you want others to see how many you got zapped (especially if it’s a lot).

Nostr gave us an opportunity to have a better Twitter experience without the kyc.

Zaps are light kyc unless you can protect your identity extremely well because now they know who to target. Receivers don’t have the same anonymous benefits that senders do. This makes receivers data even more conspicuous.

We are Bitcoiners first. We can build something more in-tune with our priorities.

We have had many successes with Nostr, let’s take a step back and reevaluate whether we want this invasion of privacy to be a focal point in our community.
