I saw a planet and was told it was Venus, later one. I’m grateful I saw it, too. It was wild. A helmet is really an easy button to be safe, for that event. It was crazy that once just a sliver of the surface was back in view, you couldn’t look bare, again.

All right, let’s talk tactics. I’m going to assume that you did not ask for trouble, weren’t being a jerk, and are merely looking to survive/escape.
If someone walks up to the side of your vehicle, and is looking to harm you, such as there being a firearm in play, backing over them is much more effective than running away, while they shoot at you at your passengers. Your steer tires are turned in the same direction, the only difference is you put the vehicle in reverse. If they are really trying to hurt you, they will move closer to the vehicle, thinking you are driving away from them, and the vehicular tackling will have a higher chance of success.
The only limiting factor is your intent to cause grievous injury, so you may survive another day. I hope I never have to test my ability to do that.
