Nostr is inspirational.
For the last few days posting from Snort.social and my notes don't seem to have propagated to everywhere. This morning posting from Iris.to and my notes are found by other clients straight away. Not sure I understand this fully.
Following nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc NDK Basics video. First time coding in 15 years. Suddenly feeling inspired https://youtu.be/Xzwx21oq8Hk
Am I posting to the right relays? Do you see this?
Is Nostr Login a competitor for Lightning Login?
https://nostr.band is a great discovery service and https://nostrapp.link is a great forwarder application.
Can't wait. Looks great.
I have been dreaming too small. Nostr replaces IM. Nostr replaces email. Nostr replaces websites.
You should go for a mobile client like Amethyst or nostr:npub1plstrz6dhu8q4fq0e4rjpxe2fxe5x87y2w6xpm70gh9qh5tt66kqkgkx8j
Amethyst looks awesome. Added my npub. Mind expanding here that I can have read-only clients and read-write clients. Further mind blown that I can add "anyone"s npub and view the world through their feed!
I think this user has come in via ZBD, and I think they aren't marketing it as Nostr/Lightning they're just saying it's a new social app. It sets up their lightning wallet by default when they sign up.
Also replace Hootsuite e.g. nevent1qqs0d6z3c0ggcfny0vf57ffelj78fxnwrfl00lg5g9w0rx7vrnf5ugspz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctchhrwyh
Also replace Slack? E.g. Lume https://github.com/luminous-devs/lume
Can we do encrypted/private messaging? Is there a path to replace Telegram, Discord, Whatsapp ...
Mashups I need
- Instapaper/Pocket/RSS > Nostr flow
- Instapaper/Pocket/RSS + Highligher flow
Business models that Nostr disrupts (from my first 7 days of tinkering)
- Twitter (obvs)
- Disqus
- Linktree
- Pocket / Instapaper
- All review sites (e.g. Trustpilot)
- All forum sites (e.g. TripAdvisor)
- All social sites (e.g. your fav social)
- All news sites (e.g. your fav newspaper)
What else?
Also, can you recommend a client that highlights that I have replies? I didn't spot your reply in Snort. The education work you're doing here is super awesome.

Hey Tony, thank you! I am exploring. I am unclear on why the network needs kind:30023 in addition to kind:1? I get 30023 respects replaceable NIP-33 and markdown. What I wonder is why kind:1 shouldn't do the same? What benefits accrue from having two different kinds? And/or does 30023 straight up become standard and superior to 1?
