You're talking about mainstream adoption. With growing adoption will come attention from governments. Children are an active internet users. Theoretically they might be interested in Nostr, for example, in the donation mechanism. Laws are protecting children. Nostr community can't ignore the problem of shocking content just because it's parents' task. Because it's government's task too. At least parents expect the state to do this. Eventually relays will be blocked in developed tolerance-oriented countries and no mass adoption on the board anymore.

And I’m not rooting for centralized subjective censorship, but imo everyone decides for themselves what content they want to see and what to afraid of. For example, I don’t read global feed at all. And mute every npub I don't like.

But how to protect children from shocking content and whether this should be done is a more important question.

There is no absolute freedom. Everyone must be responsible for words, as well as for actions. If this is not the case, then stopping the flow of obvious shit/spam/disgusting content is a completely acceptable practice.

There is too much news everywhere, and too often it is unreliable or imposes a particular opinion. Official sources and regulated media, of course, it would be interesting to see in Nostr, but in general the news and propaganda are already sick of.

I'm not interested in #football for a long time. But x/Twitter for some reason shows me football news everyday. So today I'm crying with all football Twitter about early retiring of midfielder Eden Hazard. I know he played good for Chelsea and bad for Real Madrid, but I never saw any of his plays.

И как развиваются техники вовлечения аудитории, осуществляются попытки её монетизации несмотря на отсутствие единых алгоритмов и открытость/децентрализацию протокола. Спам и информационные атаки тоже часть этого процесса. Скриншоты не про содержимое сообщений, я даже не вчитывался в них, а про суть нового явления: спам за 1 сатоши. Это возможно только в Ностре на данный момент, потому и интересно.

Да как-то пофиг, что там написано, нет? Я вижу спам, и называю это спамом. В квесты обычно же играют по желанию, по собственной инициативе.
