I joined #nostr a few days ago and am blown away. After listening to nostr:npub1s5yq6wadwrxde4lhfs56gn64hwzuhnfa6r9mj476r5s4hkunzgzqrs6q7z do the fourth quarter mastermind #bitcoin podcast with nostr:npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs nostr:npub1s9z7pwy96thwt7zvmrlpfnddstezxxphx9rx3m0660sgkwld9eescjnszc I knew I had to switch over. My goal was to accelerate learning but what surprised me most is how welcoming and positive the community has been. I feel hope and encouragement to ask questions and share opinions openly. Inflation is a tax on normal hard working Americans. The only defense is having assets that appreciate faster than fiat gets devalued. The best asset for this is #bitcoin. That’s what gives me so much hope knowing the hardest money now exists and we are so early. And that’s why #mara used their balance sheet to buy BTC because mining same amount would take decades assuming same share of hash rate
$7.6bn in treasuries to get refinanced next year. Interest payments continue to take share in era of fiscal dominance. If rates go up, they’ll have to eventually pump when market reacts negatively. If rates go down, assets appreciate. There is no stopping this train. Just get off zero, stack #sats, study #bitcoin, and live free

Still think people shouldn’t get discouraged though. Just get off 0! #bitcoin has an unmatched CAGR and will continue to appreciate versus USD so thinking about fixed targets is a fools errand and they should stack whatever they can as it will far exceed saving 4.4% in anything else

I should add, in addition to Robin's podcast, the conversation specifically with nostr:npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l was what inspired me to get started on here. I've seen so much good news around Nostr and am very excited to hopefully have somewhere to connect with other bitcoiners.
