- You can buy in small increments

- If you buy p2p, you will wiretransfer to individuals which could be that or other things

- I generally think you shall not use your daily bank anyway for this not to risk that

It totally depends on your expected privacy:

1️⃣ Exchange knows your stash + spending

2️⃣ Exchange knows your stash but not spending

3️⃣ Exchange knows nothing

To reach 2️⃣

- Mixing to cold storage

- Mix while spend

- Spend via cashu/lightning

- Send out to own address via lightning/cashu (I don't know Fedi yet)

(Cashu has bigger privacy guarantees as lightning in general)

To reach 3️⃣

- Buy p2p without centralized exchange

I watched this video;

Is this true that, once we buy KYC BTC, out wallet balance and address will be permanent in the public?

Who can see those info? People that run nodes?

#asknostr

Generally if you buy bitcoin on a KYC-d exchange, and you send your bitcoin to your own address, they will get to know your address. If you know an address in bitcoin, you can see all incoming and outgoing transactions forever on bitcoin because it is transparent and public.

But only the KYC-d exchange will know it, and everyone who they tell to. But this of course can be everyone.

Therefore it is generally advised to follow some privacy increasing steps.

That is interesting. Maybe a thought or a vision caught you.

I guess there are things that can't be unseen. Its like waking up.

Somehow I felt the same, but could not channel my thoughts properly to make this a good thing. So I am working on it.

I wish you strenght channeling these the right way.

Good suggestions! πŸ€™

Seems still a hard work for me.

1. If you want this to work on scale you need this on a button click.

2. Somehow we have to make it sustainable. But hosting these cost money. So at the end, you have to compete with "free" solutions.

Somehow the hard part for me seems that as a content creator e.g., it does not only depend on you.

The problematic part is, you can't control which relays people use.

If there are 5 relays running decent, and they censor someone/a note, it will be censored for most.

So I think you need either the need on readers/viewers side to combat censorship, or clients shall have better discovering feature that shows you the person who you follow even if, it got censored on the relays you follow. Or at least it reports you, that you might want to add this relay to your list, because others censored your followed person.

How frequently do you ditch an article or piece of text that is TLDR?

I think there is no "one size fits all solution".

One idea could be the usage of stable sats. Haven't used them, and not sure how much they are trustable at this point, but basically in stable sats, you store your money in bitcoin, but it uses an exchange in the back to keep its value in the fiat you choose.

But if you do this with your whole earnings, what is the point in storing it in bitcoin?

I am doing some research in this field, might have some more info later.
