#WoTathon punts nostr much farther down the Complex System field.

and you're saying the "tons of lawsuits, about roads are of that variety?

buy the article, web-archive it over nostr/blossom and encrypt access to a limited set of subscribers whose monthly zaps total more than $8.99. optionally make public after a certain time. now you've built a profitable business and made science re-accessible broadly, while parasitizing a retarded inbefensible moat.

i can see it, but i'm illiterate. the shape of the words makes me think i should relpy, though

Lists and lists and lists and lists.

The tabs in the UI are a decentralized list. the contexts are on a list. the lists are lists. everything is a list.

URL will be shared by end of next week

Boy is he going to be disappointed when the CBDC limits his purchases of sugar and simple carbohydrates.

Luckily, REACH (into voluntarily-organized trust networks) is not a freedom and #WoT will preserve individuals' rights to insulate themselves. open protocols ftw

Only one way to find out: capture a few, breed them, and study their offspring.

Do people still say "for science!"? if so, that.

I'm looking to pay a freelance native app developer to implement something that is basically a fork of ntfy.sh but operating over nostr. I've prototyped it as a web app (https://github.com/vcavallo/nstrfy.sh), but the real power of a notifications app comes from it being on your mobile device with native notifications.

Ideally we'd run this over #catallax . To that end, I'm also interested in finding someone to act as an Arbiter, because I'd prefer I'm not playing both roles of Patron and Arbiter.

nostr:npub19mun7qwdyjf7qs3456u8kyxncjn5u2n7klpu4utgy68k4aenzj6synjnft are you still here? There are some pretty wild things developing out of the #WoTathon which you might be very interested in, given your extensive OOP experience..

provide the actual links so i can nostr-archive these

if i were elon, i'd probably fuck with the algo to make sentiment appear awful so that goobers like luke gromen sell me their coins cheap

Here's a concise stab: a set of "weightings and preferences" - that are unique to you - scoped to particular contexts about other people and topics, sourced from your own and your trusted contact's opinions and interactions.

example 1: "do all the people who's opinions I trust on 'human-ness' think a given npub is a bot?"

example: 2: "do all the people who's opinions I trust on 'best pizza' say I'll enjoy a given restaurant?"

example 3: "among the people I trust for hiring talented software developer freelancers, has anyone had good experience with freelancer Y?"

Note that for all of the above, the "answers" are unique to you. You'd expect someone else to have entirely different - even opposite - results!

in this Brown University / MIT shooter press conference they just attributed some of the difficulty of the investigation to "he was using a phone that made it difficult to track [...] he was sophisticated".

here comes more pain for advocates of freedom tech on mobile 🙄

Almost everything else he said was reasonable, which was why this made me do a head fake. I tried to throw him a bone with the suggestion of fish being a "safer" alternative protein and he was like "no they have a lot of cholesterol too!"

uh okay

a lipid specialist doctor just told me dietary cholesterol, not saturated fat, increases your LDL.

I could have been a lot more succinct....

> EV energy systems are more stockpilable and shelf-stable than ICE systems because they allow stockpiling productive energy capacity, whereas ICE systems only allow stockpiling consumable fuel.

Assume that to be true. Given that, which EV available on the USA market maximizes all of:

- the least dependent on cloud services for basic operation (this one is most important)

- most user-maintainable

- most user-customizeable

- long-term reliable

One of your mistakes is presuming that parents are "content" with other people raising their kids.

Almost all of the parents I know who are financially trapped into dual-income situations would rather have one of them stay home and raise the kids, but thanks to previous life decisions, that option isn't on the table.

Incredible!! will plan on checking this out soon.

Any interest in brainstorming "bounty" integration with #catallax ...? https://catallax.network

lol I'm sitting in a bank and see a couple sitting down with some banker dingus going over terms and conditions with them.

people do this? so funny

I guess I'd given up a while ago. I'm unconvinced that the bystander effect has any impact. People seem to just mostly be entrenched.

turns out a block universe has nothing to do with blocks

Thanks for the submission Vinney! Whitepaper books seems like a good project.

Featured it in our Thursday issue (#381):

We put up paywall after one day of leaving it free for all, so I'm not sure you'd be able to see it right now, unless you're a paid subscriber. If you aren't, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you immediately so that you could see your contribution.

Wow man that's cold. The icing on the cake is I tried to pay for one month just now, and there's only an option to pay by credit card? No bitcoin option?
