Oh that’s def the same vibe when we looked up what this dude served 25 years for - following a woman home at night and breaking in on her. Sheesh. Luckily we figured out it wasn’t a prank and served him up on a silver platter to the authorities within 24 hours.
😅 And to be clear this dude was not an apex predator either. He was more of a hyena lol
Oh yeah it was so scary when we realized it wasn’t a joke bc the guy had followed her from the parking lot too and knew what she drove and where she lived. But little did he know we worked closely with the sheriff 😬

She def learned to be more cautious in giving her phone number out loud when creepy dudes were sitting nearby!
True story: one April 1st, a friend of mine got stalked by a convict who had just been released after doing 25 years for aggravated sexual assault, and we carried on talking to this dude because we were convinced it was just one of our other friends playing an April fools joke on us.
Smh. It def was not.
Trust no one on this day. lol.

The emergence of “adult Easter egg hunts” where grown folks run around looking for plastic eggs filled with airplane size liquor bottles is peak lukewarmness, folks.
This is not to shame anyone for enjoying the occasional adult beverage. I certainly partake in my fair share. This is simply a reminder that alcohol is a mighty spirit, and it has become all too easy in American culture to worship unwittingly.
I descend from one of the longest lines of Baptist ministers in America, back to John Ten-Shilling-Bell Chastain who started the first Baptist church in Tennessee. In that group of ancestors there were both very good, kind, and honorable preachers and wicked, greedy, power-hungry preachers. As far as I’ve been able to tell, sobriety is a huge contributor to the best among them.
Don’t underestimate any substance that has the power to change your mood. They can all be implemented as substitutes for spiritual teachers. This is why Ephesians 5:18 says: don’t be drunk on wine but instead be filled with the Holy Spirit.
I’ve never, ever met an addict or alcoholic who was not also spiritually impoverished. This is also why the first three steps in the famous 12 step program of Alcoholics Anonymous is to recognize the power of alcohol and seek a higher power. This is not a coincidence.
If you struggle in this area, I really recommend “The Mastery of Self” by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Hope we all find the resurrection of Christ in our own hearts this Easter and think on what it means to rise from the darkness of death into the light of life through submission to the will of God.

GM 🌞 Just some thoughts on #Nostr and #TikTok…
In the beginning, the biggest social media innovation TikTok brought to the table was the ability to easily and intuitively search and add audio created by others to your own video. This is part of the reason it was so short-form to begin with - to avoid copyright infringements.
But the real rise in TikTok came from its amazing social search engine, not the viral audio memes. People want to find solutions for problems in a succinct way, and the search features and short-form video content on TikTok allow for this. (Aside: the search filters for time - like past 24hrs - on TikTok have been “broken” since the first hearing in Congress last year…)
This is where Mark Zuckerberg has really misunderstood the assignment. He added Reels and Audio features to IG a long time ago, but his understanding of why people use TikTok was superficial. That’s why Gen Z calls Instagram the “wannabe TikTok”. He has been rolling out search improvements in the last six months, but they still pale in comparison to TikTok.
I’m going to post a side by side of my search results on IG and TikTok for the same search terms just to show you what I mean. See how the IG results (left) are just generic gardening posts with a few spring flowers in the mix, but the TikTok results (right) are specific to spring gardening? That’s what I’m talking about. A year ago that search string would have gotten me “no results found” on IG, so they have made some progress, but again, still not nearly as helpful.
Anyway - just food for thought for client devs and #socialmedia nerds. 🤓
