Last day of long service leave today. I was meant to be a lady of leisure, I feel it in my bones

Long service leave #writing goals not reached (a whole first draft in 3.5 months), but pretty happy with 50k. This project has been research heavy

Back to work next week 😭

Of course, took a zillion pics and in none of them were both Louis and Fabio looking at the camera at the same time. #failedmodels

#dogs of our apartment building have been asked to contribute Christmas photos

Still here, #dogstr

So happy to see this 30 story tower back up in my city’s development approval pipeline. It’s going to have more plants than any other building in Australia and “2 Full-time building landscape specialists supported by 2 landscape apprentices, working solely on Urban Forest providing approx. 4900 hours of labour & care each. A landscaping budget of $423,572.66 each year.” I wish I could afford to live there. https://brisbanedevelopment.com/green-dreams-renewed-arias-taller-urban-forest-tower-makes-a-comeback/

And big floof had a garland of spooky leaves but you couldn’t really see them

He went as an alligator to dog park Halloween

I am starting up a new Dungeons and Dragons campaign with friends so, as is my obsession, I needed to create an entirely new world to put them in. God forbid I use one of the many worlds I have mapped out, but seeing as I make campaigns unique to the players, none of my previous worlds fit to well. So, here is yet another new world.

Well, more like a continent than the full world, since I won't have them running around the whole world.

Here is the start if the world (continent) that I could quickly post tonight. I need to flush out each region more fully, but this will get you started. The system is D&D 5e and you are all free to use it in your own games as you so desire.

World Name: Arathia

Continent Name: Valnoria

Gods:

1. Arcana: Mystrosil

2. Death: Thanarok

3. Forge: Ignarokh

4. Grave: Erebos

5. Knowledge: Veridarian

6. Life: Solanthea

7. Light: Lumithor

8. Nature: Sylvandriel

9. Order: Axiomar

10. Peace: Elysiria

11. Tempest: Vortigarr

12. Trickery: Elyndra

13. Twilight: Eventyr

14. War: Kriegar

Unique Undead Race:

- Singular: Vithral

- Plural: Vithralis

Countries and Capitals:

1. Veridoria

- Inhabitants: Elves, Gnomes, and Centaurs

2. Forgeholm

- Inhabitants: Dwarves and Warforged

3. Rivenwood

- Inhabitants: Humans, Elves, and Treants

4. Orcannia

5. Mystria

Is the map a big island or a tiny continent? (Question from the Australian corner)

I’ll echo books. ReMarkable eReader next (tho getting ePubs on there is painful). Then the economist style magazine format. Then (discontinued?) Reeder for RSS on iPhone

Not me, but I’m dressing my chihuahua up as a crocodile for the dog meetup tomorrow

We’re still here! We went to the beach for two weeks and I joined a a strength training gym (I am weak, so so weak). There was a rental inspection. (Doggies passed.) Writing project about 33k, got a bit behind last week (but beach!)

Week 4 of long service leave. Maintaining output on the murder mystery but man I feel like I need a holiday already! #writing

Had fun at the Pomeranian meetup. Only got a pic in the car afterwards!

Too many #books not enough life

If you’re beta reading chapters and it feels AI generated but you’re only 95% sure, how do you nicely tell the author?

(I don’t know the author, but they’ve been friendly and polite)

It wasn’t all murder this week. We also turned up at the #Pomeranian meetup - a week early! Louis still had fun, we practically had the park to ourselves

#wip #writing three weeks in! I’m going to have stop calling this the ‘new project’. I’ve also read a billion rulings and sentencings and coroner reports and more of the police handbook and I have a new forensic textbook or five and now I’m feeling a bit glum, to be honest.

I wish I was more interesting, I think I was hoping to find some others on nostr. I usually draft one urban layout per book project, but I also have a big digital collection of historical maps, maybe I should give them a nostr account
