Yes, and yet, if users facing those annoyances and very familiar with the issues, like yourself, still have good reasons to stick to Apple, there is no hope.. :)
Right. Thanks, I did not realize. They are sadly implementing the same policies and tracking across their devices.
The problem with iPhones is that you don't actually own the device. You are merely the user. Apple and your government decide how you get to use it.
I segregate my local network in 3:
- my private network (access to lan and wan)
- guest network (wan only devices)
- IoT network (lan only)
Devices on my IoT network ( printers, cameras, fans, etc) cannot reach the internet but are controlled via a local instance of home assistant. I think I read somewhere reolink cameras can work locally and are well made)
The most painful aspect of this is to find devices that allow for local control without having to go through the manufacturer's cloud. I hope this can help.
Could anyone recommend a ceiling fan brand that integrates well with #HomeAssistant locally?
#LocalTuya is not good enough. I want to support brands enabling local control.
Would #CalyxOS work for you then?
Le sujet m'intéresse. J'ai ajouté le flux RSS.
Hey nostr:npub1am50jqjytzdtepftqfzf8grh2gs4wpt7d4t90zxc6z288wqazj5skdks29. Have you found a better solution? What have you settled on using for now?

Ces autocolants partout - quelque soit la cause - rendent nos villes encore plus moche et dégueulasse. Un truc de baltringues. #nostrfr
Yes. This also applies to your computer, your car, and all the IoT devices around you.
Yes. I used to be on a 3A but had to upgrade due to the end of support. It sucks because its size and performance were great for my use. Oh well..
Have they shared the public addresses for these? Does it match? Otherwise it's just a webpage.
#grapheneOS ?
Yes. They make the APK and Fdroid repository available on their website. You don't need to go through the app store.
Assuming they don't rely on google dependencies (which I have no idea about as I just came across this project) for notifications or what not, then they could be bla klisted by google and it would still work. We need to remain free to chose our software without the state or the app store having a day.
Trying nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 wallet as they are one of the few self-custodial LN wallet available on F-Droid or making the APK easily available.
We need to have the right to install the software we want on our devices. App stores are subject to state and company approvals. If they say no then it's not available to you. Those terms are not acceptable.
Which air-gaped, FOSS, wallet would you recommend? seedsigner? I'm looking into this.
