Yes, but.... if I understood well, it exists fully on nostr.. Meaning, your wallet key is in a nostr event stored on a relay, as well as all your txs. So nutsack is merely the client, but the same functionality can now be implemented in every nostr client

Much of the mainstream software sucks, and we're still using it, and yet we manage somehow 💁

I can't gather my mind here on nostr. It's blown all the time 😱

It's only fair to say that, but I personally prefer real-world use cases such as helping impoverished communities, empowering women, banking the unbanked etc. And I'm sure Solana works with these use cases as well, but Bitcoin is already quite far in the game.

It's like tcp/ip and ipv4.. it's still absolute internet mainstream even though the oci model and ipv6 are far more superior 💁

Those metrics mean nothing to me, when I don't know how much of it is real use cases and how much are scams, speculations or money laundering

The blockchain growing 5 Petabytes/year and cost of running a validator of at least few thousand bucks a year..

I wouldn't exactly call it "small"

I wonder why is this a malpractice if there is a dedicated event kind?

"Other Stuff" does not exclude stringified json 🙂

And if the data is public no need to encrypt it.

Wallet is also not just about money. It holds you ID, driver's license, health insurance card etc...

not sure if this was meant (Amethyst)

Just my humble opinion, as things currently stand, I see running an LN node as a (mini) financial service industry, it's just available for anyone who wants to do it (unlike the legacy financial services)

true, but still nice for 99% of world population who don't know nor care what custodial means, but care for the thing to work 💁
