This is Cash App trying to force users to use the app if they have it installed. You have to go out of your way to copy the QR and then open your preferred wallet. It’s smart UX but meh 😑

So I understand 100%, the LNURL server that received the payment sends an arbitrary msg with the LN invoice + secret + payment hash/etc? Does it matter thst it’s signed by the LNURL server key or not really? And is there a relay hint or does the LNURL server just propaga-te to any number of relays to try to get the message to where it makes sense?

I hear you and I agree with your take that `a user is not buying anything`. Apple is however notoriously good at changing their policies for their needs and making them `as broad as they can`.
While this isn't 100% what you're doing, you can clearly see how Apple is stretching their policies to limit `boosts` in social media apps. It's not oranges to oranges exactly, but its not far off for Apple to reject it because the boost through LN is not allowing for 30% intake.

They could penalize you for doing this with a major feature, especially one that aims to bypass their IAP controls. Could allow you to bypass the checks right now and get approval. But with your rate of growth and downloads I imagine it’ll get seen and could lead to ban on App Store. Just thread lightly is my take.
