Balance channel per channel isn't good, your complete node need to be "balance", some channels are inbound, others outbound and the rest are balanced, if your total balance is close to 50%, it's good.
I drop the re-balance scripts from my node, too much noise and too much people using it, so... if you have some channels to those, you will have that "rebalance" capability.

CLN is doing some improvement, do you have the last version? They do some work related with that in this one https://github.com/ElementsProject/lightning/releases/tag/v25.02
I noted that "many" nodes are setting some high fees, for example... I think that 1500ppm could go through without issues, but if you set it in the order of 300ppm or less it's going to fail a lot. What ppm are you using? do you use some MPP (multipath payment) configuration?
Check coin.os, I read that some people use that to get LN payments from Ocean.

- Most of the user case can be solve by private channels instead of public ones.
- Setup a LN node, open 4 channels, buy 10 channel from the same nodes and one month later you see not traffic, even with low fee by you node, the rest of the LSP or channel seller set up them higher.
- Be different or be ready to put a lot of capital in a beta software 😉
- Be reachable! before close a channel, some node operators try to reach the other side (we are a network) and offer help.

Try to look into the readme for the new version and check if there is some new feature related with temperature, maybe now it's getting the real one, some change in fan speed or controller. If it's spring in your timezone, maybe it's time to under-clock to take care of the hardware in the long run.

You can use your own private channel, if your node only have private channels you are not routing others payments. It's all about the user case you want, for example you couldn't help the network if your node is small and fail a lot of routing. In my case, I like private channels to my routing node, I help them with connections to all mayor service providers and they help me with what I think it's real traffic.
Lot of dust in my zone, so... just like that but two clean per month keep your bitaxes in form.
