Making mittens for my mother, but I think these are not the colours she would prefer, so I'm sad to say I will be using them myself 🤣🤣🤣

I am #knitting three sweaters which are all finished except for the sleeves. I really don't enjoy knitting sleeves...
But I've promised myself not to cast on anything new before I finish them.
One needs one more steek plus sleeve.
Another needs ribbing of sleeve 1, and then sleeve 2.
The last one I'm knitting both sleeves at the same time and am 60% done.
Added annoyance is that it is big, so not easy to bring along.
Almost finished.
Could have been done, were it not that I spend two days casting on a new sweater with 5.0mm needles and that knits up so fast...
Really like the colours, based on the birthday girls preference. It has her name knitted in.
Musselburgh pattern.

Question regarding #knitting
Are there any books / essays that are about knitting but from a philosophical perspective?
Any suggestions on which authors to look for?

What kind of magic is this?
I read it many times... pick up stitches and knit... but somehow I have just managed to knit my first ever sleeve. Sure it is normal. But it is bizarre! Pure magic. I love it.
#knitting is really something.
Ps. Yes, I like using DPNs, I knitted quite a bit of amiguri before I started knitting garments, so I'm used to using DPNs 😀
Ps2. This is a red cardigan for my 3 year old daughter.
This will be finished! Some day. #FallFinishAlong

You knot so fast... what do you do with all the shawls? Not that I'm at that point yet, but shawls / scarfs are really nice to knit... doesn't have tedious parts like a body and sleeves as sweaters do... although I would love to knit a nice gardrobe for myself (I truly hate shopping, so this might be my saviour!) but I know I will return to shawls/scarfs soon...
