Part of that’s because we have 2 tabs for comments and top posts and people get tired or comment frequency so they hang out in top posts tab.
The solution is to show the comment being replied to so you have context for the reply: then you can limit number of seen replies from one person:

To play the devil’s advocate for a bit - it sucks to be a developer and get handed a design that is literally not possible to implement in a nice responsive way without hacking your way around and kinda sorta making it work.

I can understand the bugs - that just takes time to fix. But deviating significantly from design is where it hurts.
😂 I try to be careful not to shut down ideas no matter how bad just because it could be a pivoting point to a better idea.
A designer’s ultimate wish / happy space is to see their work implemented with pixel perfection.
Nothing worse than designing something really nice only to see it half-assed in development and not being able to showcase the live version.

If you’re a non-technical person who wishes to start a project, and think you can convince a developer to work for free - don’t even bother.
You better have deep pockets and pay them or learn to code yourself. Or raise VC. Or just contribute to an open source project instead.
Even if they do decide to join you, it likely won’t last as they didn’t conceive the idea.
Not saying it never works, but having seen this up close over and over, it usually never does.
