2. 🤣

It happens 😞

People who complain that nobody replies to their comments:

1. Maybe your comment doesn’t require a response?

2. Maybe your comment sucks?

3. Maybe you are interacting with other surfer accounts?

4. Maybe you’re not around much and a few comments are not enough to get noticed?

5. Maybe your pfp and display name are off putting?

6. Maybe your notes are not interesting?

7. Maybe you don’t follow enough people and that person is just not around?

Take your pick.

Can we get a nostrISdead.com going to see how many times it dies?

Good morning real nostr people , imposters, catfishing ladies, cats, dogs and nyms!🫂 ☀️

What a fine day today to get a bunch of stuff done!

In case you haven’t heard, stacker news has declared nostr dead ☠️ so don’t mind me posting to this dead network 😂

LFG!! 🚀

They could in theory? If 20 major relays censor you, that’s that 🤷‍♂️

nostr:npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c and I re-wrote NIP-65 to make it easier to implement. Amethyst will be moving to the "Gossip model" as soon as we finish this Private DM/Group workstream.

Then we say goodbye to the old infrastructure that centralizes in large relays.

Together with nostr:npub1utx00neqgqln72j22kej3ux7803c2k986henvvha4thuwfkper4s7r50e8 's new relaying.io service, we can finally start claiming a healthier decentralization in Nostr.

https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/65.md

Aren’t you centralizing by hosting a relay with relaying.io?

Is he already here?!! nostr:note1ah4e22phzz6vx9qaz0xynktqka3ruf6ar9vf9j90a86xex3f2grs8yzfjn

Poor Oliver probably got 50 emails all telling him about nostr and wavlake 😂 nostr:note1urzqxn2ker6rgccwkul7hy3xxmec8l763ctxcec3u433j7entz0qj32yr3

Permission-less and open cross-integration. For me, the big picture of nostr is how clients can talk to one another without requiring an API key. You accrue audience on one client and carry it over to the next without having to rebuild it.

You don’t need to wait to be approved to build, you just create what you’d like to see in the world and make it be a part of the global nostr network right away. The networks effects from that are pretty powerful imo.

Right now all of the platforms are segmented and you have to cross-post physically to reach different audiences. Your Twitter, Youtube, TikTok followers are in different places and most likely don’t know about each other. With nostr, they can be on separate clients but be a part of the same core following. This enables better content discovery across client types (music to social, video to social, long-form to social, social to ecommerce, ecommerce to social etc…)

Now throw in the lighter fluid aka zaps, and you have instant payments between everything and everyone. Makes transactions more fluid, faster, more satisfying and empowering (money in your hands much more quickly to circulate back into the network or into your wallet). Massive shift in exchange of value!

For merchants that means

- Faster payments to expand their business more quickly

- Closer social ties to their customers

- Faster feedback to improve offers

- A more powerful marketing engine (now instead of showing your product in one place, it can show in many).

- Targeted advertising (zapvertising - zap the people with audiences that match your customer base and they’ll see the zap comment).

Just one powerful economic engine that will keep growing and accrue value directly to people participating in it.

But honestly, we probably haven’t even scratched the surface on what use cases will be unlocked.

Yeah that’s good. But I wonder if we can just surface them by name first. Maybe that would create confusion if multiple same names 🤔

Is there a good reason why we don’t use simple, human readable relay names in settings? Instead of wss://

Eg. call it Damus or Snort or whatever name. Is it because not all relays have a name?
