I live in a very white place and I knew at the beginning when people were dying at an intense rate that I'd never get the care I should get if I got infected, so I made sure to take every precaution available because I didn't want to be in the position.

I challenge white folks to open a dermatology book and count how many darker skin tones they see. How can doctors treat people with darker skin with a condition if they don't see it in their studies? How many medical drawings show a pregnant Black woman? Not many.
We really need more equatable medical texts, more Black doctors, etc before we ever get some level of balance.

It's why Florida and G❄️P is fighting so hard to ban books and protect white folk from realizing the atrocities of the past and present because they see that newer generations are more liberal and they want to corrupt as much youth as possible.
